Women still face numerous challenges when it comes to reaching leadership positions, both in the public and private sectors. Although progress has been made in ensuring greater female representation, cultural barriers, gender stereotypes, and the lack of support networks continue to limit opportunities for women to emerge as leaders.
Associazione Minerva, based in Forlí, launched the Women in Leadership project to address these barriers and promote greater participation of women in decision-making roles. The project offers training sessions, mentoring, and workshops to develop leadership, negotiation, and public speaking skills. Additionally, Minerva collaborates with local companies and public institutions to promote policies that foster gender balance and increase female presence in top positions.
A crucial aspect of Women in Leadership is building support networks among women. Through networking events and support groups, Minerva is creating a space where women can share experiences, learn from each other, and grow together. Sharing success stories and creating role models are essential elements to inspire new generations to pursue leadership roles.
